Day 1 – Jaipur Arrival
On arrival at Jaipur Airport / Railway Station you will be met & transferred to hotel. Jaipur , popularly known as Pink City, the flamboyant & colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. It remains the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular sectors.On arrival in Jaipur check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Jaipur
After a leisurely breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Jaipur .Morning proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort which is located 12 kms outside Jaipur. The original Palace was built by Raja Mansingh and later additions were made by Sawai Jai Singh. One of the finest example of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of Kachhawa rulers. Enjoy the ascent to the palace on the back of a brightly caparisoned elephant. Visit the multiple chambers and hallways of the palace which are famous for their design and decorations. This unique capital of the erstwhile warrior kings of Rajasthan is a must on every tourist itinerary to the state.
Afternoon, proceed for a city tour to visit the unique Jantar Mantar, which is a magnificent stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728 and drive past the Hawa Mahal, an intriguing “ Palace of Winds”. This was really a facade built in 1799, to allow royal ladies to view the city from the windows. Later visit the opulent City Palace, the former royal residence built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal style which has grand museums displaying an excellent collection of miniature paintings, costumes and armory.Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 – Jaipur – Udaipur
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Udaipur. This is Rajasthan’s most congenial and romantic city situated in the lap of the thickly wooded Aravali Hills. Founded in 1568 by Maharana Udai Singh following the final sacking of Chittorgarh by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar, Udaipur rivals any of the world famous creations of the Mughals with its Rajput love of the whimsical and its superbly crafted elegance. Udaipur has been called the “Venice of the East”.On arrival in Udaipur check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 – Udaipur
After a leisurely breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Udaipur. Begin your tour with a visit to the City Palace. At this Palace complex, one will marvel at the rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, windows with colored glass, inlaid marble balconies and the peacock courtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-bari gardens, the Jagdish temple and the local Museum. Later in the evening enjoy boat cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. The beautiful Lake Pichola was enlarged by Maharana Udai Singh after he founded the city. The city palace extends a considerable distance along the east bank of the lake. From the boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur as it rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert. You can also visit the Jag Mandir Palace – which is a lovely island palace in the middle of the lake.Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 – Udaipur – Mount Abu
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Mount Abu. AT 1,200 meters. Mount Abu is the highest point of the Aravalli range passing through Rajasthan. The only hill resort of Rajasthan, it is mainly built around a lake and surrounded by forests hills. .Mount Abu is not only rated among the best hill station of the country but is also an important Rajput and Jain Pilgrim center. The town forms an amphitheater around Nakki lake, which is believed to be dug out by the Gods with their nail (nakh). built between 11th and 13th centuries. Besides having all the features of a pleasant hill resort, Mount Abu is also well known for the famous Dilwara Temples and many more archaeological remains, interesting treks and picnic spots, the romantic royal retreats of the various erstwhile families of bygone Rajputana and some relics of the Raja's period. For those keen to learn more about the history of Rajasthan it will be interesting to note that this place was also the site for one of the most sacred rites- a yagya. This was performed by the same sage Vashishtha for the purification of the ancient fighting caste, the Kshatriyas. From this Mystical fire rose the mighty Rajputs who dominated the history of Rajasthan. Mount Abu was also an important Vaishnava and shaivite pilgrim center up to the 11th century. No visit to Mount Abu can be complete without a trip to the famed Temples.On arrival in Mount Abu check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Mount Abu
After breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Mount Abu.Today we visit Dilwara Jain Temple: These were built between the 11th and 13th centuries. Vimal Vasahi is the oldest of the temples, built in 1031 A.D,.Constructed of white marble. This is reason enough to visit Mt Abu. Located within an ancient mango grove, the Dilwara temple are profusely carved, and during the morning, the priests perform several ritual ceremonies that are not open for public viewing.
Guru Shikhar: 15 km, the highest peak in the Aravallis (1,772 m). Adhar Devi Temple: A beautiful temple carved out of a huge rock. A climb of 200 steps leads to the temple. Nakki Lake: Nowhere else in India except in the Himalayas, does a lake exist at 1,200m above sea level. The lake is studded with little islands. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 – Mount Abu – Udaipur Departure
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Udaipur.At appropriate time transfer to Udaipur Airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
