Numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah Jahanabad.
Later in first half of 20th century much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who laid out a grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British rule in India. The division in walled city & New Delhi also marks the division in life styles. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 – Jaipur – Amanbagh
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Alwar& transfer to Amanbagh. Amanbagh sits in isolation amidst the arid Aravalli Hills near Alwar in northern India. The region is rich in early Hindu history, dating to the dawn of Hindu civilization; awash with legend, the epic Mahabharata tells of the five Pandavas brothers who spent their last years in exile within a few miles of the resort, over two millennia ago. In the more recent past, the area was dominated by a group of warrior clans, the Rajputs, who controlled this region of India for nearly 1000 years. Raided repeatedly over time by Moghul armies, it was finally conquered in the 17th century by the Emperor Shah Jahan, the famed builder of the Taj Mahal. The topography of the region consists of sandy plains interspersed with craggy hills and knolls, in stark contrast to the setting for Amanbagh - a lush oasis. Amanbagh derives its name from the words aman, meaning ‘peaceful' in Sanskrit and bagh, meaning ‘garden' in Hindi. It lies within a walled compound that was once used by the Maharajah of Alwar to site his mobile hunting camps in search of the elusive tigers known to roam the nearby hills. Long since abandoned, the trees and vegetation continue to thrive due to a reliable water supply drawn from an adjacent lake. The resort is every bit a modern day “palace,” conceived in the present, but humbly paying homage to the traditional architecture and design that has prevailed throughout the past.On arrival in Amanbagh check in at resort.Later in the evening enjoy massage at hotel spa.Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 – Amanbagh

Ajabgarh, meaning ‘place of mysteries’, is an appropriately ghostly village, dotted with abandoned old houses where you’ll find the odd, stunningly carved window frame of picturesquely decorated doorstep. Prepare to be startled by the scale and beauty of Bhangarh – the abandoned city’s marketplace areas, temples and gardens are in surprisingly good repair as well. Legend goes that the city was abandoned after it was cursed by a holy man. It’s perfectly serene; you’ll have only stray dogs and ancient temple-keepers for company.Later in the evening massage at the hotel spa is a perfect way to end the day.Overnight at hotel.
