Day 1 – Chennai Arrival
On arrival at Chennai Airport you will be met & transfer to hotel. Chennai, the gracious capital city of Tamil Nadu is the fourth largest metropolis in India. Located on a 17km stretch of the Coramandel coast, the city is trisected by the waterways of Cooum and Adyar and the Buckingham Canal. With a population of 6 million people, Chennai is a vibrant city ever growing, expanding and changing every year. Popularly regarded as the "Gateway to the South", Chennai presents culture that is distinctly different from that of northern India. Music, dance and all other art forms of the South are cherished and nurtured in this city which, though industrialized, continues to be traditional and conventional in many ways.Later in afternoon move out for sightseeing of Chennai. Visit some of the famous temples like Kapaleeswarar, Marundeeswara temple and the Parthasarthy temple. Also visit places like Fort Museum, Santhome Church and National Art Gallery.Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Kanchipuram.Visit some temples like like Kailasanatha Temple, Vaikunda Perumal Temple, Varatharaja Temple and Ekambareswara Temple. Later in the evening straight drive to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram that was formerly known as Mamallapuram is one of the most frequented tourism destinations in Tamilnadu, a province in India. Mahabalipuram is a 7th century port city of the Pallavas, a Dravidic dynasty that once ruled over the major portion of peninsular India.On arrival in Mahabalipuram check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 – Mahabalipuram
Aftter breakfast spend the whole day at Mahabalipuram sightseeing - see the Arjuna's Penance, Five Rathas, Shore Temple, Tiger Cave and Krishna's Butter Ball. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Pondicherry. Legendary associations trace the origin of this city to Rishi Agastya, the revered sage of the south. And excavations near Pondicherry reveal that a Roman settlement existed here 2000 years ago. Pondicherry has been the theatre of many battles in the wars between the British and the French, and was the capital of French India before it attained independence in 1954. Pondicherry is famous as a centre chosen by late Sri Aurobindo, revolutionary turned saint, who built his Ashram, which draws huge crowd of tourists.On arrival in Pondicherry check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon move out for sightseeing of Pondicherry.Today we visit Visit Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville and temples like Varadraja temple, Manakula Vinayagar temple, Sri Vedapureeswarar temple, Kamatchiammalle temple and Varadarajaperumal temple and the Gokilambal Thirukameswarar temple.Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 – Pondicherry – Chidambaram
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Chidambaram. The word Chidambaram is derived from the word ‘Chit Ambaram’ which literally means the sky permeated by an atmosphere of intelligence and wisdom. Lord Nataraja is said to have emerged from the sacred space and performed his Cosmic Dance before his two devotees. This city was a part of the Chola dynasty and is today, an important pilgrim centre and known for its Nataraja Temple or Chidambaram Temple.On arrival in Chidambaram check in at hotel.later move out for sightseeing of Chidambaram.Today we visit various temples like Shiva temple famous for its Nataraja statue. Also visit the Sarangapani Temple, Kumbeswarar Temple, Brahma Temple, Nageswarar Temple and Swamimalai Temple.Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Chidambaram – Velankanni
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Velankanni. Velankanni is the most pilgrimage centre for catholic Christians of tamil nadu & also one of the most visited pilgrim centers in india. It houses the renowned basilica of ‘Our Lady of Health’, this basilica is also called as ‘Sacred Arogya Matha. velankanni church in chennai is referred as the ‘mecca of the christians’. people of all different castes crownd in the feet of virgin mary to receive her blessings.there is always great influence of pilgrims in this church. it has almost become the synthesis & vital destination of all visitors located all over the world. On arrival in velankanni check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon proceed for a city tour of velankanni. Visit the renowned basilica ‘Our Lady of Health’ & receive Virgin Mary’s blessings. Day 7 – Velankanni – Trichy
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Trichy. it is tamil nadu’s second largest city. it has a unique place in the history of tamil nadu. this city is an absolute gift for those who have interest in the history & architecture. the city is located in the heart of tamil nadu. trichy presents a magnificent blend of modernity & tradition. trichy is also one of the famous pilgrim centres of tamil nadu, which has been dotted with several beautiful temples, sacred monuments for the its visitors. this beautiful temple city offers some different temples & architectural looks for its visitors.On arrival in Trichy check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon proceed for sightseeings of Trichy.Today we visit Rock Fort temple, Ranganathaswamy temple, Sri Rangam temple, Thiruvanaikkal temple, Gangaikondam Cholapuram temple, St. John’s church, Mukkombu, Ganapati temple and Shiva temple.Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 – Trichy – Madurai enroute visit Tanjore
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Madurai enroute visiting Tanjore. At Tanjore, the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara is capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons which was taken to the top with the help of a 6 km long ramp, an old technique used by the Egyptians for building pyramids. Its bronzes and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights of a visit to South India.Later continue drive on Madurai,it was once the capital of pandyan kings, later it became the part of cholas & nayakas. it is an important cultural, commercial & pilgrimage centre. the culture of tamil nadu is woven with the history of madurai in all aspects such as religious, cultural, historical, art & architectural, leraning & political. the major attraction of madurai is the 965 beautiful pillared meenakshi amman temple. madurai is in the few cities of the world that can claim a tradition as an old city. madurai is a gorgeous pilgrimage centre in which the history has hide itself. Madurai is one of the south india’s great temple city. it is situated on the banks of vaigai river.On arrival in Madurai check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Madurai.Today we visit Meenakshi temple, Thirumalai nayaka palace, Mariamman theppulam temple, Koodaalagar temple, Anglian cathedral, Vaigai dam, Suruli waterfalls, Gandhi museum etc.Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 – Madurai – Rameshwaram
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is an island situated on the tip of the Indian peninsula. The city is also an important south India pilgrimage center of the Indians. It is the place from where Lord Rama had built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita.This is the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of Ravana. Both the Vaishnavites and Shaivites visit this pilgrimage city..On arrival in Rameshwaram check in at hotel.Later in afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Rameshwaram.Today we visit Ramanathaswamy temple, Kothandaramswamy temple, Dhanuskodi, Gandhamandhana parvatham, Kurusada islands, Vettangudi bird sanctuary, Sokkattan mandapa temple.Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 – Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Kanyakumari. Knyakumari also called as cape camorin, Knyakumari enchants visitors with the spectacular views, that other Indian beaches pale by comparisons. it is famous for its peaceful & unimaginable natural environment,. besides it is a hindu pilgrimage site. it offers stunning views of sunrise & sunset over the water. Knyakumari is believed to be the abode of kumari, the virgin goddess, who is supposed to have done penance here so that she could marry lord shiva. the marriage however, did not take place, since it was deemed that she remain a virgin in order to save the world, hence the name kanyakumari. Knyakumari has a beautiful natural surroundings & also some interesting places that can captivate its visitors.On arrival in Kanyakumari check in at hotel.Later in afternoon proceed for sightseeing.Today we visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam and the Kanyakumari Temple and the Suchindram Temple. In the evening go on a walk of virgin beaches. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 – Kanyakumari – Trivendrum
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Trivendrum. Trivendrum is also known as Thiruvananthapuram, is the capital city of kerala. It is a gorgeous sea side city, which is built on seven hills. The word “Thiruvananthapuram” mean’s place of sacred serpent. Trivendrum is one of the beautiful cities of kerala. The city’s scenic beauty has enchanting beaches & breathtaking lush greenery adds a feather in its beauty crown.On arrival in Trivendrum check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon proceed for sightseeing.Today we visit Sri Ananthapadmanabhaswamy temple, Napier Museum, Sri Chitralaya Art Gallery, National History Museum, Kanakakunnu Palace, Kuthiramallika Palace, Veli lake, Zoological Garden, CVN Kalavari Sangham (Martial Arts), Mahathma Gandhi road.Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 – Trivendrum Departure
At appropriate time transfer to Trivendrum Airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
