Day 1 – Delhi Arrival
On arrival at Delhi Airport you will be met & transferred to hotel. Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient with modern. Its strategic location was the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. In fact, more mythological cities are believed to be here, like the city of Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, founded around 5000 BC. Numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah Jahanabad.
Later in first half of 20th century much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who laid out a grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British rule in India. The division in walled city & New Delhi also marks the division in life styles. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Delhi – Amritsar ( By Shatabdi Express )
After a leisurely breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), which includes the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk & Jama Masjid along with other attractions. Later after lunch drive past through impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence and others in Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi).
Later in time transfer to Delhi Railway Station to board train for Amritsar. Amritsar city was founded by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das. The most revered place of the Sikhs has in due course of time recreated itself as an industrially developed city. The Golden Temple is an important pilgrimage site of the Sikhs, the temple also known as Hari Mandir Sahib is a symbol of spiritual tradition of the Sikhs The temple has been a source of inspiration for the Sikhs from generations and is beautifully coated with Gold. It was the first prime holy shrine where Sikhs from all over come to pay their obeisance. On arrival at Amritsar Railway Station you will be met & transfer to hotel.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 – Amritsar
After breakfast move out for sightseeing of Amritsar. Today we visit the Golden Temple - the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion, also known as Hari Mandir; Jallianwala Bagh - The park commemorates the 2000 Indians who were killed or wonded at this site, shot indiscriminately by the British in 1919. The story of this massacre is told in the Martyrs' Gallery and a section of wall with bullet marks still visible is preserved, as the well into which some people jumped to escape can be seen.Later we will visit Wagha Border - the international border between India and Pakistan. The pomp and pageantry of the Beating Retreat and the Change of Guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces makes for a most charming spectacle. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 – Amritsar – Dharamshala
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Dharamshala. Dharamsala is known for its scenic beauty, calmness and serenity. It has high pine trees, tea gardens and timber yielding trees. Dharamsala, popularly known as the ‘Queen of the Hills’, is divided into lower and upper towns with a difference of 457m (1500ft.) between them.On arrival in Dharamshala check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 – Dharamshala
After breakfast move out for sightseeing.Today we visit Mcleodganj H. H. The Dalai Lama resides here. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. At the end of the spur lies the Namgyal Monastery. The external wall is surrounded by rows of prayer wheels. With in the monastery are large idols of Buddha The charming church of St. John in the wilderness is situated here and this is the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India during the 19th century. Numerous ancient temples like Jwalamukhi, Brijeshwari and Chamunda lie on the plains below Dharamshala.Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Dharamshala- Manali
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Manali. Manali is an important hill station of northern India and is the destination of thousands of tourists every year. Its cool atmosphere provides a perfect heaven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. Besides offering quite a few places for sightseeing, The city is also famous for adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. In short, Manali-is the "Valley of the Gods" and an ideal place for the ones in search of both adventure and comfort.
The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti, Kinnaur, Leh and Zanskar regions in Kashmir valley.The city is also known for its shiny gompas or Buddhist monasteries. It is also famous for its Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa, built in 1969. The monastery is maintained by donations from the local community and through the sale of hand-woven carpets in the temple workshop.On arrival in Manali check in at hotel.Rst of the day free for leisure.Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 – Manali
After breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Manali.Today we visit.rohtang pass, arjun gufa, Tibetian Temple, Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa( Tibetan Built area) Manu Temple & Hadimba Temple: Hadimba or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region. This four-story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar.Over night at hotel.
Day 8 – Manali – Shimla
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Shimla. One of the most famous tourist destinations of India, Shimla located in Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill station. This beautiful hill station derives its name from "Goddess Shyamla", who is supposed to be an avatar of Goddess Kali. This lovely hill station was 'discovered' by the British who immediately fell in love with this place. Infact, they went to the extent of declaring Shimla as their summer capital.On arrival in Shimla check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 – Shimla
After breakfast move out for sightseeing of Shimla. Today you will visit Christ Church, St. Michael's Cathedral, Jakhu Hill, Shimla State Museum, Summer Hill, Annandale, etc.Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 – Shimla – Delhi
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Delhi.On arrival in Delhi check in at hotel.Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 – Delhi Departure
At appropriate time transfer to Delhi International Airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
