On arrival at Delhi Airport you will be met & transferred to hotel. Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient with modern. Its strategic location was the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. In fact, more mythological cities are believed to be here, like the city of Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, founded around 5000 BC. Numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah Jahanabad.
Later in first half of 20th century much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who laid out a grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British rule in India. The division in walled city & New Delhi also marks the division in life styles. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast move out for full day sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), which includes the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk & Jama Masjid along with other attractions. Later after lunch drive past through impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence and others in Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 – Delhi - Haridwar
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Haridwar. The holy city of Haridwar is home to some of the most sacred Hindu Rituals, Devotees from all over the world flock the place to perform various prayers. Haridwar is one of the gateways to four pilgrimages in Uttrakhand region, as the God's are believed to have left their footprints in this place. The waters of the holy river Ganges slow down their pace in Haridwar and people from round the globe come to take a dip in its holy water, to purify their minds and sols and achieve Nirvana, as it is commonly understood.On arrival in Haridwar check in at hotel.Later in the evening visit Har-ki-Pauri to view the holy Ganges Aarti. This is the place where the main bathing takes place. The place is called Brahma Kund, the myths says this is the place where the nectar can dissolved in the holy water of river Ganges. If wish, have a dip here later after viewing Aarti visit the market near the place.Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Haridwar – Rishikesh
After breakfast check out from hotel & visit Haridwar.Today we visit , Daksh Prajapati Temple, Ananand Mai Ashram, Parad (Mercury) Shivling in Kankhal Region, Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi (both by ropeway), Maya Devi, Pawan Dham, Bhuma Niketan, Parmarth, Bharat Mata Mandir, Shanti Kunj, Saptrishi Ashram and others.
Later drive to Rishikesh another ancient place which is famous for its Ashrams and for grand viewing of Ganges. On arrival in Rishikesh check in at hotel.Later in the afternoon move out for sightseeing of Rishikesh.Today we visit Ashrams, some of which are internationally recognized as centre of Philosophical studies, yoga and meditation.In the evening visit Triveni Ghat to view the holy Ganges Aarti
Triveni Ghat: A sacred bathing spot on the bank of the river Ganga where devotees take holy dips and offer prayers. Devotees bathe here with the belief that the water has the power to purify them. Triveni Ghat is also called because it is believed to be the confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the legendary Saraswati river. It is an interesting place to be at dawn when people make offerings of milk to the river and feed the fish. After sunset, as a part of the Aarti ceremony, lamps are floated on the water and provide a spectacular view. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 – Rishikesh – Delhi
After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Delhi.On arrival in Delhi you will be met & transferred to Delhi International Airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
